The Nation's Weather for Friday, December 9, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Rain will stretch from the Ohio Valley southeastward to
North Carolina tomorrow. Colder air farther north will allow
a thin strip of snow to accumulate from Wisconsin into
western Lower Michigan. In between, a mix of rain and snow
is likely in northern Illinois, northern Indiana and central
and eastern Lower Michigan. A system moving into the
interior Northwest will allow for some snow to fall in
Idaho, western Montana, western Wyoming and northern Utah.
While this system begins to fall apart, a much stronger
storm will move ashore in the Northwest very late in the day
and overnight. A cooler but mostly sunny day is forecast in
New England. Clouds and rain will lead to a cooler day
farther south in Virginia and North Carolina. Meanwhile, a
warm and dry day is expected along the Gulf Coast.
