The Mid-Mississippi Regional Library System will celebrate National Library Week April 7 through 13. Each day, there will be a different event the three public libraries in Montgomery County.
In Kilmichael, at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 8, organizers have planned Bingo for Books, where participants will play Bingo and win books as prizes. From 11 until 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 9 the Kilmichael Public Library will host a Taste of Kilmichael where patrons can dine on various dishes prepared by the Kilmichael Friends of the Library.
The library will be closed on Wednesday, April 10, but on Thursday, April 11, from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. from 4 p.m., Kilmichael library will host a program instructing participants in making a stained-glass flower using wood glue. And from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m., Friday, April 12, the library will host Color the Day Away, a coloring event for patrons of all ages.
Also, the friends of Kilmichael Library will have a Book/DVD sale this week.
In Winona, the Friends of the Winona – Montgomery Public Library will host the annual Taster’s Luncheon at the Montgomery County Arts Building (Hill Fire Building) on Thursday, April 11, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Tickets may be purchased at the library for $10 each, and space is limited.
The speaker for the event will be Felder Rushing, professional gardener and author. A cookbook containing recipes of dishes made for the luncheon is included in the cost of the ticket.
Also, the friends of Kilmichael Library will have a Book/DVD sale this week.

• April 8 – 12, Color like You Mean It, If you love the library, please leave a heart. Come in and design and color a small heart. We will mount these and display them on a poster board in the library. This is for all ages!
• April 9 at 1:30p.m., Blood Pressure Checks and Bingo with Melinda Wells, MS Home Health Care. Bingo prizes will be given and light refreshments will be served.
• April 12 at 1:30 p.m., Adult Coloring Class. Light refreshments will be served and a door prize drawing for those in attendance will be held.
Be sure to come in during National Library Week and register for prizes to be given away. The drawings will be held before closing Friday, April 12.
Calls to the Duck Hill Library went unanswered and the Carroll County Public Libraries (Carrollton/North Carrollton and Vaiden) do not have anything planned for the week.
