It is CHRISTMAS and there is so much to be excited about!!!!! You may be excited about the presents, the songs, the parades, visiting relatives, the special dish your grandmother makes, or maybe you are just excited not to go to school for two weeks. Excitement just goes along great with Christmas.
This week, though, I was thinking about that first Christmas way back in Bethlehem. There were no parades, no presents, no special food, no excitement, but what happened that night in the stillness and quietness of that little town changed the world. Christmas is a time where we should be excited for the birth of Jesus, but it should also remind us that just because something is still, small, and quiet doesn’t mean it's not important or doesn’t have value.
Every one of us will experience different Christmases. Some will be full of excitement and some may be small and quiet, but our Jesus shows up in both. So, this year look for him in the excited moments and the moments of quiet and he will be found. Remember Ms. Faulk loves you, but Jesus loves you more.
