Fall is here y’all, and everything that comes with it. Football, pumpkins, time change, festival’s, plaid long sleeves, cold, and change. Change comes with every season and to some the change is welcomed and some the change is dreaded, but it comes all the same.
Change is not only a part of the seasons but a part of our individual lives. We change clothes, change classes, change plans, change friends, change schedules, change our attitudes, and maybe we have to change our outlook on our current situation whatever it may be.
I want you to think about a time where you experienced good change or bad change. How did it make you feel? How did you get through it?
The verse that comes to my mind during the changing of the seasons or a change in my life is Ephesians 3:1 which says, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” This tells me that change is inevitable, but Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
So, while you and I and everything around us goes through changes, our Jesus never changes and that is a truth worth clinging to during the changes that are welcomed and the changes that are dreaded in our lives. So, this week thank God for seeing you through all the changes and for always remaining the same. Remember Ms. Faulk loves you, but Jesus loves you more.
