Melbourne Brook McCrory Sr., 52, of the Boyd Community in Carroll County MS passed away at his residence on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Carroll County. Visitation was from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the church. Burial followed at Moore's Memorial Cemetery in Carroll County. The Rev. Eddie Carpenter and the Rev. Lanny Haley officiated the services.
Brook was born on July 27, 1972, to George Everette McCrory Sr. and Janice Browning McCrory. Brook was a life-long residence of Carroll County. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends and family in Teoc.
Brook is survived by his wife of 28 years, Shelley Carpenter McCrory; sons, Mel McCrory and Joseph McCrory; mother, Janice McCrory; brothers, Scott McCrory (Tabitha) and Rhett McCrory (Julie); a special niece and several special nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, George Everette McCrory.
Pallbearers were Scott Beck, Scott Acey, Ryan Jackson, Ken Sanders, Tripp McCrory, Ken Carver, Kirven McCrory, Reed Browning, Tully McCrory, and Mark Clark. Honorary Pallbearers were Jack Teal, Drew Haddon, Graham Jackson, Hunter Grantham, Drew Thomas and his Turkey Track Family.
