The building process of the McMedical Country Clinic began on Sep. 5, 2023, led by Jason Walker. The building was completed in December and the staff was able to move into the building on the 26th of that month. The clinic opened for business on Jan. 8, 2024 and has been practicing since then.
The Grand Opening was delayed slightly due to adding the finishing touches to the building such as counters and billing. The goal of the Grand Opening was to introduce the new clinic to the community and allow residents and curious persons to walk through the clinic and be introduced to the staff. Family Nurse Practitioner Suzy McCrimmon stated that she enjoyed the diversity of challenges presented with small local clinics and being able to help individuals on a personal level. FNP McCrimmon was born and raised in Greenwood but lives in and loves Carroll County. At the clinic, the staff consists of FNP McCrimmon, 3 nurses, and a dedicated receptionist. The staff treats patients from all neighboring areas from Greenwood to Duck Hill.
“We feel blessed to have our new location and our patients,” FNP McCrimmon stated. The clinic functions as a semi-emergency clinic, walk-in clinic, and a family health clinic.
