The Rebels opened the week with a 13-10 win over Calhoun Academy in extra innings while finishing off the week with a 9-7 win over North Delta.
Carroll is scheduled to host Briarfield in a doubleheader on Monday and travel to Benton on Tuesday. On Thursday, the Rebels will host North Delta and finish out the week by hosting Benton.
Carroll Academy 9, North Delta 7
The Rebels used a six-run third and held on to take a two-run win over the Wave on Thursday.
Carroll scored three runs in the second to tie the game at 3-3 before the Rebels scored six in the third. North Delta scored four in the fourth for the final margin.
Carroll outhit North Delta 8-5 as Maddox Carpenter went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Tyler Brooks was also 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Brennan Blaylock doubled and scored two runs while Lofton Holly doubled and drove in a run.
York started on the mound and pitched all five innings as he gave up seven runs on five hits and five walks while striking out nine.
Carroll Academy 13, Calhoun Academy 10
The Rebels scored three runs in the top of the eighth and overcame 10 errors to take a three-run win over Calhoun on Monday.
The Rebels scored two in the first and third and one in the fifth but trailed 7-5 after four innings. But the Rebels scored three runs in the fifth, two in the seventh and three in the eighth.
Carroll outhit Calhoun 10-6 and took advantage of eight walks, five hit batters and five errors. Maddox Carpenter had a big night, going 5-for-6 with three runs scored and seven RBIs. Braxton York had a home run, two RBIs and scored six runs. Hunter Grantham scored two runs while Lofton Holly and Drew Thomas each had two stolen bases.
Holly started and pitched the first two innings, giving up six runs on six walks and three strikeouts. Thomas pitched the next 2 1/3 innings and gave up one run on three hits and two walks while striking out three. York pitched the last 3 2/3 innings and gave up three runs on two hits and four walks while striking out four to pick up the win.
