The Carroll Academy Lady Rebels got in three games last week but didn’t manage to get a win.
The Lady Rebels lost 15-8 to Starkville on Monday, 16-6 to Jackson Academy on Tuesday and 10-0 to Washington on Thursday.
Starkville 15, Carroll 8
The Lady Rebels fell behind early and dropped a seven-run decision to the Lady Volunteers on Monday.
Starkville scored seven runs in the top of the first and added single runs in the second and third. But Carroll scored on in the first and six in the third to cut the lead 9-7. Starkville then added three in the fifth and seventh to pull way.
Carroll had eight hits but committed nine errors and issued seven walks. Anna Fayard was 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs while Maggie Carter was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Rachel Dugger was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored.
Kaylyn Wiltshire started in the circle and only got one out while giving up seven runs on four hits and two walks. Layla Neese pitched the final 6 2/3 innings and gave up eight runs with only one earned on eight hits and five walks.
Jackson Academy 16, Carroll 6
The Lady Raiders used a pair of eight-run innings to take a 10-run win over Tuesday.
JA scored eight in the first and third while Carroll scored one in the second and fourth with four in the third.
Carroll had eight hits in the contest. Racheal Dugger was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs while Kenzie Reeves was 2-for-2 with a triple and. Audrey Woods was also 2-for-3 with a double.
Kaylyn Wiltshire took the loss in the circle and gave up 16 runs on nine hits and five walks with 10 runs being unearned.
Washington 10, Carroll 0
The Lady Rebels didn’t have a hit in a run-rule loss to the Lady Generals.
Washington scored two in the first, four in the second, one in the third and three in the fourth.
Layla Reese started in the circle and went three innings, giving up nine runs on two hits and six walks. Kaylyn Wiltshire pitched the last 2/3 of an inning and gave up one run on one hit.
