Congratulations to the three Class of 2024 Winona High School scholarship recipients ($500.00).
Hannah Stanley (3.88 GPA) attends Holmes Community College and received the Knox-Winbush Scholarship. This scholarship is so named for educational pioneers Mr. J.J. Knox and Mr. Samuel Winbush. It was created to extend opportunities for young people to further their education by receiving a one-time college scholarship.
Omarion Eskridge (3.30 GPA) attends Holmes Community College, along with Kendall Stanley (3.0), who attends Mississippi University for Women received the Violet Tanner-Bibbs Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is given by Ms. Janice McGee, in memory of her sister, Violet Tanner- Bibbs, who passed this life on Nov. 14, 2006. She worked with children and knew the importance of education. Again, congratulations!
