Saturday, the Carroll Academy Booster Club will host CA Day, sponsored by Trustmark Bank of Greenwood.
Wayne Blaylock said the event will begin 10 a.m. around the Carrollton Courthouse square and will continue throughout the day. He said there will be five to six carnival-style games, face painting, jumpers, and a dunking booth where students will get to dunk Carroll coaches.
Wristbands will be $5 for children for all-day play. The football team will be selling lunch for $5 which will include hamburgers, chips, and drinks. Dance team members will be selling water, lemonade, and baked goods.
At 1 p.m., a cornhole tournament will be held for kids 13 and up. The tournament entry fee will be $20 per team.
The main event will be held that night when wrestlers with IMPACT Wrestling will hold a match in the Carroll Academy gymnasium. Carroll Academy alumnus Georgia Lee Ann Milton, also known as GLAM, will be a featured wrestler.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the match will begin at 7:30 p.m. He said floor seats are $15 and general admission is $10. Floor seats are still available for the event.
Blaylock said wrestlers will also be around the square during the day, where children will be able to take pictures and purchase merchandise.
All proceeds would go toward the CA Booster Club.
