The Red Hill Volunteer Fire Department is working to organize the annual Bogue Creek Festival in Duck Hill, and they are reaching out to vendors who want to participate in the popular event.
The event will be held on Saturday, September 4. The volunteer fire department took over the festival after the Duck Hill Lions Club disbanded and could no longer organize the festival. The festival is a means for the fire department to raise money to fund a fire department in the Red Hill Community near the Montgomery and Grenada County lines.
Keeping with the tradition, the event will still be held at Lancaster Pecan Grove on Highway 51 South in Duck Hill from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. For those wanting to rent a booth with electricity, the fee is $75, and without is $50. The Fire Department is now taking applications for booth rentals.
Those with trailers will have to pay for two spaces because a trailer won’t fit in one space, and vendors must provide their own tables, chairs and tents.
For more information about the festival and how to get an application, contact Miranda Dean at 662-552-7878 or email her at deanrnf@yahoo.com or Cathy Sykes at 662-310-0539 or email her at redhillvolfiredept18@yahoo.com.
All spaces must be paid by August 31.
