The Carroll County Board of Supervisors held their monthly meeting on Monday, July 26 in Carrollton. The board handled routine businesses and heard from Laberta Ward Green about her garbage bill.
The board also entered an executive session regarding the sanitation department. The board took no action.
Also, the board:
• Approved to pay the administrative office of courts for the Chancery District and Circuit District in July in the amounts of $2,406.24 for the Chancery District and $3,524.10 for the Circuit District.
• Approved a transfer of a Ford F150 from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department to the Carroll County Board of Supervisors for the Recreation Department.
• Accepted a bid from Chad Evans in the amount of $1,000 for a 2004 GMC.
• Approved to repost ads for a 2003 Ford F150. Bids will be opened on August 30 at 10 a.m. Chancery Clerk Casey Carpenter said there were no bids received for the truck.
• Approved to post ads for a 1998 Dodge truck and 2001 Dodge truck that have been removed from Beat 4 Supervisor Claude Fluker’s list.
• Spread on the minutes emergency work on Rebel Road in Beat 2 with G & O Supply and J.J. Ferguson to repair a blown culvert under the declaration and resolution signed by the board on June 10.
