Kenneth Gene “KG” Goss, 64, of Greenwood died Friday, September 10, 2021, at his residence. Services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home with visitation 11 a.m. until service. Rev. Lanny Haley officiated and burial was held in Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Carroll County.
Mr. Goss was born November 22, 1956, in Grenada, to John Chester Goss and Margaret Slawson Goss. He was a former resident of Hernando, and lived in Greenwood since 1990. He was a retired tree surgeon. He was of the Baptist faith and attended church in Grenada. He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, and his father.
Mr. Goss is survived by his mother, Margaret Kitchens, of Greenwood; sister, Margaret “Cookie” Miles of Greenwood; brothers, James Earl Goss, Sr. of Duck Hill, and Marshall Dale Goss, Sr. of Ripley, Tenn.; daughter, Jessica Barmer of Hernando; four grandchildren; and a number of nieces, and nephews.
Pallbearers were Greg Stubbs, David Lewis, Michael Haley, Chris Clardy, Edward Earl Goss, Jerry Haley, and Robert Earl Minga.
