It was a rough week for the Carroll basketball teams, dropping all three games they played.
The Carroll girls lost 41-30 to Winston and 39-30 to Heritage while the Carroll boys lost 37-27 to Winston.
Carroll will return to play this week when they host Starkville Christian on Tuesday and play at Deer Creek on Thursday.
Winston girls 41, Carroll 30
The Lady Patriots used a big second period and took an 11-point win.
Each team scored nine points in the first period and Winston outscored Carroll 15-1 in the second to lead 24-10 at the half. Winston added to the lead in the third, outscoring Carroll 13-12 to lead 37-22. Carroll took the fourth 8-4 for the final margin.
Dru Chamblee led Carroll with nine points while Meri Brynn Reeves had seven points. Bella Carter had six points and Mary Laken Boutwell chipped in five points.
Winston boys 37, Carroll 27
The Rebels dropped their second game of the season as they fell to the Patriots.
Mathis Beck led Carroll with 15 points while Noah Beck had nine points.
Heritage girls 39, Carroll 30
The Lady Patriots jumped out to an early lead and finished strong to take a nine-point win.
Heritage jumped out to a 16-9 lead but Carroll took the second 9-7 to cut the lead to 23-18. Carroll outscored Heritage 6-4 in the third to cut the lead to 6-4 before the Lady Patriots finished out the fourth by outscoring the Lady Rebels 12-6.
Dru Chamblee led Carroll with 12 points while Mary Laken Boutwell had eight points. Bella Carter had six points.
