J.Z. George hit the hardwood Tuesday night as the Lady Jags and Jaguars played at Coffeeville High School.
Both teams are slated to visit Water Valley Friday and return home to face Kosciusko on Dec. 7. They go to Ethel on Dec. 10 and visit Kosciusko on Dec. 11.
J.Z. George closes out the month on the road. They visit Grenada on Dec. 17 and Leflore County on Dec. 18, and both teams will compete in the East Webster Tournament Dec. 20-21.
In recent action, the Lady Jags and Jaguars were no match for Houston High School at the Delta Duels Classic on Nov. 22.
The tournament was held at Mississippi Valley State University and hosted by Delta Streets Academy.
The girls dropped a 57-37 decision to the Lady Hilltoppers, who led 17-12 after one, 47-12 at the half and 55-22 after the third period.
Aaniyah Williams led the Lady Jags (2-5) with 21 points. Natijah Basin tacked on eight points.
In the boys game, Houston cruised to a 70-32 win as it led 21-10 after one, 37-20 at the half and 57-30 after the third period.
D’Anthony McGlothan had 11 points, and Rodney Catron six for the Jaguars (2-3), who had 25 turnovers and were only 1-of-14 from three-point range.
