The body of a Carroll County woman was found near Jackson days after she was reported missing.
The body of Taminique Trixy Keys, who had been missing since Aug. 9, was discovered by a Flowood employee near the intersection of Interstates 20 and 55 on Monday, according to a statement released by Sheriff Clint Walker.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation issued a Silver Alert for 38-year-old Keys of Lexington last week, according to a Silver Alert issued by MBI.
She was described as a black female, five-feet-five-inches tall, weighing 260 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, and she was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, ripped jeans and a black bonnet.
She was last seen on Aug. 9, at about 9 p.m. near Interstate 55 and Interstate 20 in Rankin County, the release stated.
Family members said Keys suffered from a medical condition that would impair her judgment.
