Schmidt’s & Jiggle’s food truck is coming to the Town of Carrollton on Friday.
The Eupora-based food truck will be parked on the southside of Court Square at noon tomorrow to begin a regular operation, Carrollton Mayor Pam Lee said.
“We’ve had some other inquiries, but this is the first one that’s worked out,” said Lee.
Schmidt's & Jiggle's is a traveling mobile take-out restaurant serving a from-scratch menu that changes from week to week, according to schmidtsandjiggles.com.
“We live in Eupora, but we’re in a different town every day,” said co-owner Stephanie Logan. “We try to come to Winona every other week.”
Schmidt’s and Jiggle’s, indirectly named for a favorite saying of her late grandfather, is available for catering events, such as teacher appreciations, conventions, weddings and parties, and the food truck provides food items from cultures around the world, including street tacos, chicken Tikka Masala, Hibachi and spicy Asian chicken wrap, according to schmidtsandjiggles.com.
“We offer a little bit of everything. Our menu changes every week,” said Logan. “We try to keep it familiar but different.”
Logan added she and her husband and co-owner, Anthony Logan, prepare Hawaiian and Cajun cuisine along with meals from other countries including Japan, Mexico, Italy, India and Vietnam.
Lee said she found out on Jan. 11 that Schmidt’s & Jiggle’s would be able to provide food service in town.
Stephanie Logan said she and her husband “made the decision to start expanding this winter. Winter is our slowest time.”
“We love to go to small towns. They really come out and support us,” she said.
