Funeral services for Mr. Lester Cecil Kirk of Duck Hill will be held at noon on Friday, Dec. 29, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Terry Corley officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dian Kruger, Dewayne Lishman, Michael Rubio, Steven Stoker, Joey Evans, and Chris Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be Cannon Kirk, Scott Kirk, Jack Williams, and Kirk Tyler.
Visitation will be held Friday, Dec .29, from 10 a.m. until service time at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. Lester Cecil Kirk, 88, passed away Monday, Dec. 25, at Regional One Health in Memphis. TN. He was born in Duck Hill on Aug. 30, 1935, to Cecil and Donnie Jones Kirk.
He was a member of Scotland Baptist Church and a retired bus driver for Greyhound. After retirement, he worked for a parts house in Jackson. He loved his cats and enjoyed entertaining company.
Mr. Kirk is survived by his son, Kenneth Kirk and one grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Bernice Keyes Kirk, and his brother, Charles Kirk.
