Funeral services for Lee Roy Nail of Weir were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2, at French Camp Presbyterian Church, with burial following in Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery near Kilmichael. Mr. Bruce Hosket, Mr. Larry Littlejohn, Mr. Glenn Barlow, and the Rev. Alex Coblentz officiated the services. Pallbearers were Christopher Jefcoat, Gwain Jefcoat, Nathan McQuiter, Keith Parish, William McKinley, and Lance Ragsdale. Honorary pallbearers were Coach John Robert Cockrell and Roy Purvis.
Visitation was held Saturday, Feb. 1, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home.
Lee Roy Nail, 58, passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, at his residence in Weir. He was born in Vaiden to George Walton and Willie Mearl Manus Nail on Feb. 10, 1966.
He is survived by his wife, Karol Nail of Weir; daughters, Terri Lynn Gaskin of Bellefontaine and Nikki Nail of Ethel; sister, Pat Jefcoat (Danny) of Kilmichael; six grandchildren, Drake Gaskin, Dakota Gaskin, Alana Nail, Keeli Grace Nail, Aden Nail, and Brady Nail; one niece, Paige Flowers; three nephews, Christopher Jefcoat, Zachary Jefcoat, and Gwain Jefcoat; and seven great nephews, Dalton Jefcoat, Logan Jefcoat, Trace Allen Jefcoat, Rhett Jefcoat, Braxton Jefcoat, Cole Cochran, and Landon Flowers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Nail.
