Winona High School’s girls’ volleyball team went 2-1 in matches played last week.
The Lady Tigers knocked off Yazoo County 3-0 on Sept. 6, claiming the sets, 25-12, 25-20 and 25-12. In a doubleheader on Sept. 8, Winona swept Humphreys County 3-0, winning 25-10, 25-3 and 25-11. The Lady Tigers then played East Webster, falling 3-0 as they lost the sets, 25-20, 25-20 and 25-7.
The Lady Tigers recorded a 3-1 win over Ethel High School on Aug. 30. The Lady Tigers won the first set, 25-16, but Ethel claimed a 25-13 win in the second set. Winona won sets three and four, 25-20 and 25-21.
The Lady Tigers played at Noxapater High School on Sept. 1. Noxapater won the match, 3-0, as it won the sets, 25-15, 26-24 and 25-19.
Winona (5-9) played at Humphreys County Tuesday and entertains Yazoo County on Sept. 20.

The Lady Jaguars only played one match last week, dropping a 3-0 decision to Pillow Academy on Sept. 8. Pillow won the sets, 25-25-8, 25-10 and 25-10.
In a match from Aug. 30, the Lady Jaguars fell 3-0 at Yazoo County. The Lady Panthers won the match, 3-0, winning the sets, 25-15, 25-16 and 25-11.
The J.Z. George junior varsity team won 2-0. It won the sets, 22-18 and 22-17.
J.Z. George, which played host to Riverside Monday, entertains MS Palmer Thursday.
