The Winona High School girls fast-pitch softball team put together a perfect 3-0 record in games played last week.
The Lady Tigers began the week with a 21-6 victory over Region 3-3A foe Amanda Elzy on Wednesday. Winona plated 13 runs in the first inning and eight in the second frame. Elzy scored four runs in the first and two in the third.
Lindsey Berryhill got the win in the circle as she went 1 1/3 innings, yielding four runs (all earned) on no hits, walking five and fanning two. Madison Henderson went the final 1 2/3 innings, giving up two runs on two hits, walking one and striking out two.
The Lady Tigers took advantage of 21 walks issued by Elzy pitching. Henderson, Keagan Hall and Mary Beth Brannon had a single each. Emily Casiday and Hall had two RBIs each, and Berryhill, Casiday, Brannon and Kaylen Whitfield scored three runs apiece.
Winona played at region foe Ruleville on Thursday, claiming a 20-3 win to move to 3-1 in the district. Winona scored one run in the second inning, three in the third and 16 in the fourth. Ruleville tallied two in the second and one in the third.
Hannah Brannon and Berryhill had three singles, two RBIs and two runs scored each. Emma Vincent had two singles, scored two runs and drove in three runs, and Casiday had two singles and scored three runs. Mary Beth Brannon had a single, two RBIs and scored two runs.
Alisha Taylor had a single, scored twice and drove in three runs, and Haley Gilmore had a single, scored once and drove in three runs. Samantha Johnson had a single and scored two runs.
Berryhill got the win as she went all four innings, yielding three runs on four hits, walking two and fanning four.
The Lady Tigers closed out the week with a 10-9 win over French Camp Academy Friday. Winona plated five runs in the third, three in the fifth and two in the sixth. French Camp scored five in the first, three in the third and one in the fourth.
Whitfield drove in three runs with a triple and scored one run. Hannah Brannon had an RBI triple and scored a run, and Mary Beth Brannon had a single and scored three times.
Hall had an RBI single and scored a run, and Taylor had a single. Henderson, Berryhill and Vincent had an RBI each. Casiday scored two runs.

Winona, which hosted Yazoo County Tuesday and went to Elzy Wednesday in region games, plays at Noxapater High School Thursday and entertains J.Z. George Friday. Winona hosts Nanih Waiya Monday and closes out the regular season with a region doubleheader at Humphreys County Tuesday.
