The Lady Tigers’ fast-pitch softball team went 2-2 in games played last week to move to 3-3 on the season.
Winona split a pair of games with Noxapater High School last Friday, losing the first game 16-0 and winning the second 12-8. In the win, Emily Casiday drove in two runs and scored three times. She had a single and double.
Keagan Hall had two RBIs with a single, and Olivia Swindle had three singles, one RBI and scored a run. Mary Beth Brannon had a single and scored twice, and Dorothy Martin Derrick had a double, RBI and scored two runs, and Makinley Russell had a single, RBI and scored two runs.
Swindle got the win in the circle as she allowed all eight runs on eight hits, walking three and fanning six.
In a 23-13 win over French Camp last Thursday, the Lady Tigers only had three hits — a single each from Hall, Casiday and Alisha Taylor — but took advantage of 20 walks issued by FCA pitching.
Hall scored four times and had three RBIs, and Taylor, Russell, Derrick and Brannon had two RBIs apiece. Casiday had one RBI and scored four times, and Swindle and Hailey Burton had an RBI and two runs scored each. Brannon scored three times.
Swindle got the win in the circle as she yielded all 13 runs on nine hits, walking only one and striking out five.
In a 13-1 loss at Eupora High School last Tuesday, the Lady Tigers scored their lone run in the top of the fourth. Eupora plated three in the first, four in the second and six in the third.
Swindle, who took the loss, had two singles. Brannon and Russell had a single each with Russell getting the only RBI.
Winona, which played at Calhoun City Monday and Choctaw County Tuesday, hosts Eupora Friday and Bruce Saturday.
