The Carroll Academy girls came away got a much-needed win last week in district play.
The Lady Rebels beat Canton 39-13 but also dropped a 38-17 contest to Oak Hill.
The Rebels lost both games, falling 50-34 to Canton and 73-46 to Oak Hill.
Carroll has two games on the schedule this week as they will host Winston on Thursday and Winona Christian on Friday.
Carroll girls 39, Canton 13
The Lady Rebels outscored the Lady Panthers in every period and took a 26-point win in district action last week.
Carroll led 12-6 at the end of the first and then outscored Canton 6-1 in the second to lead 18-7 at the half. Carroll continued to extend the lead as they outscored Canton 12-6 in the third and 9-0 in the fourth.
Nevaeh Wolfe led Carroll with nine points, six steals and five rebounds. Carlie Hoover had eight points and six steals while Madelyn Singleton had eight points and 10 rebounds. Olivia Whitworth also had seven steals while Emma Matthews had four rebounds.
In the junior high game, Carroll won 37-7 as Allie Holly had 13 points and eight steals.
Canton boys 50, Carroll 34
The Panthers used a big second period to pull ahead and take a 16-point win over the Rebels.
Canton led just 6-4 after the first period but then outscored Carroll 18-8 in the second to lead 24-12 at the half. Canton extended the lead in the third, outscoring Carroll 14-8 to lead 38-20 going to the fourth. Carroll took the fourth period 14-12 for the final margin.
Nathan Matthews led Carroll with 11 points.
In the junior high game, Canton won 52-17 as Cole Beckwith had 11 points.
Oak Hill girls 38, Carroll 17
The Lady Raiders built a big first-half lead and cruised to a 22-point win.
Oak Hill led 13-2 at the end of the first and 24-8 at the half. Oak Hill took the third period 9-3 while each team scored six points in the fourth.
In the junior high game, Oak Hill won 45-32 as Nevaeh Wolfe had nine points, 13 rebounds and five steals while Allie Holly had nine points and seven rebounds.
Oak Hill boys 73, Carroll 46
The Raiders outscored the Rebels in every period and cruised to a 27-point win in district play.
Oak Hill had a big first half, outscoring Carroll 15-7 in the first and 18-9 in the second to lead 33-16 at the half. Oak Hill took the third period 19-17 and finished off by outscoring Carroll 21-13 in the fourth.
Nathan Matthew led Carroll with 15 points.
In the junior high game, Oak Hill won 45-26 as Cole Beckwith led the Rebels with 18 points.
