A Kilmichael man died on July 21 after he lost control of his motorcycle on Mississippi Highway 407 and hit a tree.
David Brad Henson, 46, left the roadway approximately one mile north of the Mississippi Highway 407/Vaiden-Kilmichael Road intersection, said Allan Pratt, director of the Montgomery County Emergency Operations Center.
“He was traveling south and went off the northbound side of the road,” said Pratt. “He left the roadway and hit a tree.”
Henson’s motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the wreck, and Pratt said he had died from his injuries when Pratt, who also serves as Montgomery County coroner, arrived on the scene.
MedStat, Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies, Poplar Creek Volunteer firefighters, Kilmichael Volunteer firefighters and Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to the 7:16 p.m. call to EOC, Pratt said.
“The caller stated he had heard a loud noise,” said Pratt. “He rode up the road and saw the driver and the motorcycle.”
McKibben & Guinn Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements, Pratt said.
