Severe Weather Recovery Efforts Are Important

While I was out working on our recovery efforts this week from what is now referred to as the 2026 Ice Storm, there were so many first responders and crews of many agencies out working long hours. It is a dangerous situation. Here in this area, limbs fall where the heavy ice is, and safety precautions are a must.

As of this writing, I am attending the Mississippi Municipal League’s Mid-Winter Legislative Conference “Local Leaders, Lasting Impact” in Jackson. This legislative conference brings municipal officials from across the state who will be hearing from state leaders at MML’s Capitol Day during the conference and planning for the future.
