The J.Z. George archery team finished with a team score of 2,927 points at the AIMS High School Class 2A state competition held last Thursday at the Jackson Trademart.
For the Jaguars, their top four were Dustin Dickerson (267), Kelton Sanders (255), Galaxie Little and Brayden Counts (255). Their next eight were Wyatt Goss (251), Abbygail Clardy (239), Payton Hobson (236), Chad Woodard (235), Eli Miley (234), Taylor Sullivan (229), Ava Hollis (226) and Emma Boyles (215) and Mackenzie Ainsworth (215).

The Jaguars season came to an abrupt end as their last three games on the schedule were called off for various reasons.
Last Monday’s game with Amanda Elzy was canceled because of the weather, and games against Winona High School and North Panola were canceled.
The Jaguars end their first season under Charles Jackson at 0-12 overall and 0-8 in Region 4-2A.

The Lady Jaguars closed out their season Monday with a home contest against Winona High School.
J.Z. George was 1-14 overall and finished 0-8 in Region 4-2A going into Monday’s contest.
