The J.Z. George High School archery team had a score of 3,121 points as a four-team shoot last Tuesday at the school’s gymnasium.
Pillow Academy came in second with 2,816 points, and Kosciusko was third with 2,653 points. Winona was fourth with 2,496 points.

Winona’s top 12 shooters and their scores were Brycelyn Townsend, 257; Alicia Jackson, 240; Bryce Kilcrease, 239; Jamar Nash, 237; Lilly Chandler, 235; Archie Flowers, 218; John Sykes, 211; Wheeler Chandler, 201; Chloe Drake, 191; Alyssa Harris, 174; Ethan Drake, 173; and Briseis Pearson, 120.
Pillow’s top 12 shooters and their scores were Owen Hodges, 271; Wyatt Saia, 268; Whitt Hodges, 249; Carter Nunley, 246; Sarah Rylie Harden, 244; Jack Stuckey, 237; Blane Williams, 227; Hartley Kittle, 226; Bristol Hammons, 223; Charlie Kimmel, 213; Laney Roach, 211; and Dhara Rathod, 201.
The Winona Middle School team also shot at the event last week. Their top nine scorers were Rylie Norquist, 219; Taylor Lockhart, 193; Cash Kilgore, 192; Jayden Holifield, 191; Cameron Lee, 189; Amari Coker, 182; Larry McGlothin, 180; Hayden Hudson, 156; and Maddox Carpenter, 154.
The North half shoot started Monday and ran through Wednesday in Starkville. The state event is April 7-10 at the MS Trade Mart in Jackson.
