The Junior Auxiliary of Winona recently hosted its annual Future Me Expo, bringing together students, educators, and community professionals for a day dedicated to exploring future careers and life skills. The event, held for sophomore students from Montgomery and Carroll counties, drew an impressive turnout and was met with overwhelming enthusiasm from both students and presenters.
The Future Me Expo was designed to inspire young minds to dream big and prepare for life after high school. Students had the opportunity to interact directly with representatives from colleges, local businesses, and community organizations, learning about a wide range of career paths. Interactive booths and hands-on demonstrations gave students a real-world glimpse into different professions.
In addition to the career stations, students participated in workshops that focused on job readiness, interview skills, and professional appearance. A highlight of the day was the mock interview sessions, where students practiced their interview techniques with local professionals offering valuable feedback.
“This event is all about planting seeds for the future,” said a representative from JA of Winona. “We want every student to leave feeling inspired, confident, and aware of the possibilities ahead of them.”
The day wrapped up with a career-focused presentation, free swag, and lunch for all attendees, thanks to the support of generous community sponsors.
JA of Winona would like to thank all of the volunteers, schools, and businesses who helped make this year’s Future Me Expo such a success. By working together, the community continues to empower the next generation to reach their full potential.
