James William "Bill" Bole, Jr., 79, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, at his home in Pontotoc. Raised in Carrollton, Bill had remarkable musical talent, playing several instruments, but was especially known for the beautiful way he played the trumpet. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, he found deep comfort in the Bible's hope for the future. He enjoyed woodworking and cherished time with his family. Despite living with disabilities from an accident, he maintained a wonderful attitude and a great sense of humor.
Bill is survived by his wife Cora Bole, sisters Anne Smith and Mary Kemp, children, Melody Thames, Michael Bole, James "Bill" Bole III, and Laura King, as well as 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Frances Bole.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Pontotoc at 1 p.m. with Richard Farmer officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Carrollton.
