Funeral services for Mr. James Clark "Jimmy" Hayward, Jr., of Winona, were held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, at The Foundry Church in Winona, with burial following in Winona Garden of Memory. The Rev. John Goldwater officiated the service. Pallbearers were John Bailey, Chris Green, John Henry Hayward Allman, John Barbour, Trey Allman, Jason Ables, John Luke Clark, and Ricky Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were the men of The Foundry Church, his airport friends, Dr. Jan Bailey, Joe Spencer, Terry Phelon, Harold Pickens, and David Green.
Visitation was held on Sunday, Jan. 19, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at The Foundry Church.
Mr. Hayward passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025, at his residence in Winona at the age of 72. He was born in Grenada to James and Kathryn Vance Hayward on Feb. 8, 1952. Mr. Hayward traveled the world working in his field as an Aerospace Engineer. He worked at the Sinai Field Mission in Egypt for eleven years. He was very active in Celebrate Recovery and God's House of Hope. He was a founding member and elder of the Foundry Church in Winona. He also served on the board of the Winona - Montgomery County Airport.
He is survived by his sister, Linda Kay Barbour of Winona; one niece, Kathryn Allman; one nephew, John Barbour; four great nieces and great nephew, Mary Clair Allman, John Henry Hayward Allman, Emmie Barbour and Hattie Barbour; and a special friend, Jan. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mac Butler.
