Archery got started last Tuesday for the J.Z. George and Winona High Schools teams as they competed in a three-team shoot at J.Z. George’s gym.
Pillow Academy was the third team.
J.Z. George had a team total of 2,947 points. The four girls who shot were Gallaxie Little, 269; Abbygail Clardy, 245; Madison Miley, 241; and Emma Coy Boyles, 233.
The boys who shot were Kelton Sanders, 265; Brayden Counts, 252; Wyatt Goss, 247; Jaxson Mulvihill, 245; Peyton Hobson, 244; Dustin Dickerson, 240; A.J. Wiggins, 234; and Eli Miley, 232.
Winona had a team score of 2,463 points. The four girls representing Winona and their scores were Brycelyn Townsend, 255; Alicia Jackson, 242; Nikyla Baskin 222; and Khamiya Russell, 116. The boys and their scores were Wheeler Chandler, 240; Dylan Johnson, 237; Bryce Kilcrease, 231; Jamar Nash, 225; Ethan Drake, 224; Archie Flowers, 198; John Sykes, 179; and Jeffrey Butts, 94.
Both teams, along with O’Bannon and Pillow, were in a match Tuesday at J.Z. George. The Jaguars go to Cleveland Central Thursday.
