Right on time!
The cardinals, red birds, and lots of little multicolored birds are here!
Gary keeps the bird feeders full for all the birds who come to my flower garden, he made for me, to eat and find water. I love to watch them, take pictures of them, and observe what is going on in the morning.
Sunflower seeds are a big favorite. The bigger birds eat them and drop the shells and sometimes seeds to the ground below the three feeders. The little birds gobble up the smaller seeds and peck around on the ground to find what has fallen as well as what is in the soil and plants.
I noticed our big rooster flying up the land on the flower garden fence. He looked around then swooped down to the scattered seeds below the bird feeders. He was busy pecking up what the wild birds left.
Then our little black and white hen flies up to join him. She seems happy looking for her sunflower and seed scraps.
Next the big, ole guinea joins the crowd. She has no trouble flying over the garden fence. She is not the most polite bird and often fusses and bosses other birds around. Now, however, she is peaceful as she scours the area for leftovers and dropped seeds and other treats.
Meanwhile above them the colorful wild birds soar and sweep in contentedly dining on the seeds prepared for them as they drop others to the ground.
Do you remember when the Canaanite woman, a gentile or non-Jew, came to Jesus to cry out for Him to heal her demon-possessed daughter? (Matthew 15:21-28)
Jesus and His disciples were together, and this woman came disturbing them. The disciples wanted Jesus to turn her away and get rid of her.
Jesus told the woman that He was sent to the people of Israel. She persisted and continued to beg for help. Jesus told her, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”
That sounds rough, doesn’t it? But Jesus was saying again that He was sent to Israel first, although he did heal and help Gentiles.
This woman didn’t give up! She replied, “Yes, it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”
Jesus told her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” “And her daughter was healed at that moment.”
“‘Jesus’ salvation is, indeed, available to all! Jesus did come to the Jews first, but the Bible tells us that forgiveness and salvation is available to all who have faith in Jesus as the only Son of God, repent and turn away from their sin, and profess Jesus as their Lord and Savior following Him in life.
