On Monday Oct. 20, the Winona Police Department arrested 38-year-old Corion Brown, of Grenada, for drive-by shooting and shooting into a motor vehicle (two counts) in connection with a shooting that occurred around the 800 block of Powell Street near Barron Street around 4 p.m. Monday evening. No injuries were reported.
A witness stated a silver Dodge Ram pickup truck with no tailgate drove by and opened fire on several individuals who were standing near two vehicles that were struck. The witness identified the shooter as Corion "Toot" Brown.
Brown was taken into custody around 6 p.m. Monday evening at a residence in Grenada without incident.
The Winona Police Department recovered the firearm that was used. Brown is currently being held at the Grenada County Jail with a bond of $75,000.
