SOUTHAVEN – MyCala Helms made the All-Tournament Team, following Dizzy Dean play over the weekend.
Helms, who plays for the Winona Lady Tigers throughout the school year, plays with the Mississippi Tornadoes during the summer, and they took wins from three teams during the Dizzy Dean High School Softball World Series last weekend, according to her mother, Veronica Helms.
“The team scored 36 runs in three games and allowed zero runs by their opponents,” Veronica Helms said.
The Mississippi Tornadoes is made up of players from Mantachie, Bruce, Houlka, New Hope, Grenada and New Albany, along with Winona, according to Veronica Helms.
