Rev. Saxton Odom has received confirmation and commendation by the Church of God International Offices in Cleveland, Tenn., as an Ordained Bishop in the movement’s annual Camp Meeting services held last week in Jackson.
The distinction of Ordained Bishop is the highest level of licensure a minister may achieve in our movement. It is a high honor and distinction. The qualifications for a Bishop being listed in 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
An Ordained Bishop may serve in any capacity and/or in any arena within our movement having the ability to preach, teach, defend, publish, and proclaim the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Bishop Odom is the Lead Pastor of Winona Church of God in Winona, Mississippi along with his wife, Lacey and their two children Luke and Laurel.
