The Winona Christian basketball teams saw their season come to an end last week in the Class 4A North State Tournament.
The Lady Stars opened up the tournament with a 49-37 win over Greenville St. Joseph on Monday before they los 50-33 to Kirk Academy on Wednesday.
The Stars also opened with a 57-28 win over Indianola before losing to Greenville Christian 39-31.

The Lady Stars built a first-half lead and took a 12-point win over the Lady Irish on Monday in the opening round of the Class 4A North state tournament.
Winona Christian outscored St. Joseph 14-11 in the first period and 14-8 in the second to lead 28-19 at the half. The Lady Stars extended the lead in the third, outscoring the Lady Irish 8-6 to lead to 36-25 going to the fourth. The Lady Stars finished by outscoring the Lady Irish 13-12 in the fourth to take the win.
Malaina Kuhn led Winona Christian with 15 points while Allie Leach had 10 points. Sara Beth Rawles had nine points while Kaylah Brooke Varnes had eight points. Lucy Oliver also chipped in seven points.

The Lady Raiders built an early lead took a 17-point win over the Lady Stars on Wednesday.
Kirk jumped out to a 19-11 lead in the first period and then outscored Winona 12-5 in the second period to lead 31-16 at the half. Kirk continued to extend its lead in the third period as they outscored Winona 13-9 to lead 44-25 going to the fourth. Winona took the fourth period 8-6 for the final margin.
Sara Beth Rawles led Winona Christian with 11 points while Kaylah Brooke Varnes, Lennie Kate Wood and Malaina Kuhn each had five points apiece. Lucy Oliver had three points while Allie Leach and Terri Claire Cain each had two points apiece.

The Stars saw their season come to an end last week in the second round of the North 4A Tournament on Wednesday as they lost to Greenville Christian 57-28.
