When was the last time you witnessed to someone? Some of us can readily answer that question, while others may have to think about it. As disciples or followers of Jesus, we are called to lead others to Christ. Discipleship is a ministry and a lifestyle. No degree or title is required to become a disciple, only a willingness to share the love of Jesus with others.
Matthew 28:19 reminds us to, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit”.
As a disciple of Jesus, we must use God’s Word. We know that God’s Word speaks with clarity and provides understanding. Additionally, we must study to show ourselves approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).
We must study and read God’s Word daily and then we must obey and teach others. Studying God’s word equips us to minister unto others. During our study of discipleship in bible study, we learned that we can utilize simple approaches to reach others. This can be accomplished through small group sessions, Zoom meetings, and other media platforms. Regardless of the setting, as a disciple, it is imperative that we act! God has equipped us through His holy spirit to spread the good news of salvation. Won’t you be a witness too?
