A graveside service, with military honors, for Mr. Donald Walker Ware of Winona will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 30, at the North Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Kilmichael. The Rev. Jay Anderson will officiate the service.
Mr. Ware, 83, of Winona passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was born to Wayman and Martha Hazel Walker Ware on July 30, 1941. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Winona. Prior to retiring, he worked as the UI area supervisor at the Mississippi Department of Employment Securities. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Winona post 52 and the Winona Veterans of Foreign War.
He is survived by his sons, Walker Ware of Pearl and Chet Ware (Marlene) of Ridgeland; sister, Dinah Lynn Herring of Winona; brother, David Ware (Nan) of Winona; three grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Blalack Ware and his brother, Kenneth Wayman "Kenny" Ware.
