Funeral services for Diane Palmertree of Vaiden were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 21, at Hebron Baptist Church near Poplar Creek with burial following in the church cemetery. Rev. Bobby Palmertree and Rev. Billy Little officiated the services. Pallbearers were James Bevis, Austin Sullivan, JJ Moorehead, Shorty Palmertree, Carroll Huelett and Bobby Huelett. Jimmy Palmertree served as an honorary pallbearer.
Visitation was held Wednesday, August 20, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home; and will also be held on Thursday, August 21, from 10 a.m. until service at Hebron Baptist Church.
Diane Palmertree, 64, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025, at her residence in Vaiden. She was born in Kilmichael to Thomas Lee and Emmitt Elaine Perry Palmertree on April 26, 1961. Diane was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and tending to her flowers in her yard. She nurtured and cared for her dogs and chickens. She was known for her love of snuff, but mostly, for the love, care, and devotion for others, shown most certainly, in her care of her daughter, Nancy Ann.
She is survived by her sisters, Brenda Bishop of Ackerman and Alice Fay Vance (Jimmy) of Winona; brothers, Carroll “Shorty” Palmertree (Dawn) of French Camp and Jimmy Palmertree (Theresa) of Poplar Creek; sister-in-law, Loraine Palmertree and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her daughter, Nancy Ann Palmertree; and brothers, James Thomas Palmertree, Jerry Glen Palmertree, James Harvey “Doobie” Palmertree and Curtis Palmertree.
