The seventh Annual Cruisin’ Cotesworth event in Carrollton took place on Saturday, April 13. The event was packed with roughly 300 individuals in attendance, from locals to tourists, from as far as Pennsylvania and Canada.
“It was a wonderful event,” Kenny Downs, event planner, sang his praise. “It’s interesting our publicity for the event was that widespread.”
The event boasted a slew of attractions including music from roughly 20 local artists such as the Holcomb Jam Band, house tours, pottery demonstrations, and local food vendors. The main attraction, the car show, drew participants from as far as Biloxi and recorded a whopping 118 cars registered. Downs reported the Cotesworth grounds were covered with vehicles, as planners and participants parked the cars anywhere they could fit them. Downs expressed a special appreciation for the Crossroad Cruisers who helped with the event and offered their services in food vending. He was happy to report that the vendor sold out of stock by 12 p.m. This was an outstanding year for Cruisin’ Cotesworth on all fronts.
