Recently Carroll County residents have come together to support a wonderful cause, student education. With the help of GeneraXtion-Dream Pushers and their sponsors and donors, students of Carroll County will be able to attend the third annual Back 2 School Event on July 20 at the J.Z. George Gymnasium, where they will be able to pick up a free book bag filled with school supplies to start off their 2024-25 school year prepared.
Their list of sponsors includes Carroll County businesses such as Shell Go, Corner Express, Beautifully Blessed Boutique, and more. Not only are local businesses supporting the cause, but local government officials, church groups, and individual residents are chipping in to ensure the youth of the county receives much needed educational supplies. Recognizable names such as Chancery Clerk Casey Carpenter, Supervisors Claude Fluker and Josh Hurst, former Tax Assessor Wilton Neal, Constable Dustin Haddon, Mayor Pam Lee, “Grumpy” Allen Dunn, JJ Ferguson, Bank of Commerce, and many more are showing their support for the students of Carroll County by donating to help the cause.
Just a $10 donation will purchase a bookbag full of supplies for a child in need.
