Carroll Academy came back from the spring break swinging the bats as the Rebels scored 46 runs in two games.
Carroll beat Calhoun Academy 20-8 and Benton 26-16 to take both games they played last week.
Carroll, now 4-5 on the season, has a key district matchup with Oak Hill this week. The Rebels will travel to Oak Hill on Tuesday and host the Raiders on Thursday.

Calhoun Academy 8
The Rebels scored nine runs in the top of the fourth inning and took a six-inning, run-rule victory over Calhoun.
The Rebels scored two in the first and one in the third before each team scored three in the third as the Rebels led 6-4. Carroll then exploded for nine runs in the fourth to go up 15-5 and put the game away with four runs in the sixth to win by the run rule.
Carroll had 15 hits on the night and used two double plays on defense to help take the win. Gavin Wiltshire had two singles and a home run as he scored three times and drove in four runs while Bubba Porter had two singles, scored twice and drove in two runs. Noah Collier had two singles and a double, scored twice and drove in two runs while Andrew Montgomery had two hits, scored three times and drove in two runs. Logan Neal had a single and double and scored a run while Colby Holly scored three runs, stole four bases and drove in two runs. Jacob Cutts, Dane Greenlee and Crawford Holly each scored twice.
On the mound, Lofton Holly improved to 1-1 as he got the win, pitching three innings and giving up four runs on three hits and seven walks. Montgomery pitched won inning and gave up one run on two hits and two walks while Cutts pitched two innings and gave up three runs on five hits.
In junior varsity action, Carroll won 15-1 as Drew Thomas pitched a complete game. Hunter Robertson had two singles and Maddox Carpenter had a double and five RBIs. Greenlee had a single and a double while Logan Hodges had two singles and drove in three runs.

In a softball-like score, the Rebels scored in every innings to take a 10-run win over the Raiders.
Carroll jumped out to an 8-1 lead in the first inning before Benton scored nine runs in the top of the third to take a 10-9 lead. Carroll then responded with six runs in the third, two in the fourth, five in the fifth and four in the sixth.
Carroll had 16 as Dane Greenlee and Gavin Wiltshire each had three singles and a double and drove in five runs while scoring twice. Noah Collier had three singles, scored three times and had three RBIs. Bubba Porter had a single, was hit by a pitch three times, drove in two runs and scored all four times he was on base. Colby Holly had a single and scored four runs while Jacob Cutts walked twice and scored twice. Lofton Holly scored twice while Andrew Montgomery had a single and walked three times and his courtesy runner Hunter Robertson scored four times. Logan Neal also had three singles and scored two runs.
Jacob Cutts (1-2) pitched 1 1/3 innings and picked up the win as he gave up six runs on five hits. Montgomery pitched 4 2/3 innings and gave up 11 runs on 10 hits and four walks while striking out four.
In the junior varsity game, Benton won 9-2 as Logan Hodges had two singles.
