Three people were transported to Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital following an automobile accident in Winona.
According to Officer Sean Turner with the Winona Police Department, officers and rescue units were dispatched to the intersection of Highway 407 and Church Street just before 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Turner, who was the investigating officer on the scene, said a Nissan Sentra traveling north on Church Street appeared to have started across Highway 407 and made contact with a Ford Fiesta which was traveling eastbound on Highway 407.
Linda Lane of Winona was the driver of the Nissan Sentra which also held an adult passenger and an infant. Lane and the adult passenger were both transported to Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Turner said the infant appeared unharmed and was not transported to the hospital.
Annie Collins of Winona was the driver of the Ford Fiesta. She was also transported by ambulance to Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Winona Police Department, Winona Fire Department, and MedStat all responded to the accident scene.
