Carroll Academy only got one game last week, dropping a pair of district contests to Winston Academy.
The Lady Rebels fell 47-12 while the Rebels lost 28-20.
Carroll is scheduled to host Oak Hill on Tuesday in a district contest and then hot north Delta on Thursday. They will finish the week by playing at Indianola on Friday.
Two games were cancelled last week because of the inclement weather. Thursday’s game against Canton has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Jan. 21 while the Benton game will not be rescheduled.
Winston girls 47, Carroll 12
The Lady Patriots jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 35-point win over the Lady Rebels last week.
Winston jumped out to an 18-3 lead in the first period and then outscored Carroll 8-4 in the second to lead 26-7 at the half. Winston continued to extend its lead in the second half, outscoring Carroll 12-3 in the third and 9-2 in the fourth.
Carlie Hoover led Carroll with four points.
In the junior high game, Carroll took a convincing 32-6 win. Nevaeh Wolfe led Carroll with 18 points while Emma Matthews had six points.
Winston boys 28, Carroll 20
The Patriots pulled away in the second half and took an eight-point win over the Rebels.
Carroll led 6-4 at the end of the first while Winston took the second period 8-6 to tie the game at 12-12 at the intermission. Winston then outscored Carroll 10-5 in the third and 6-3 in the fourth.
Logan Upchurch led Carroll in scoring.
Winston won the junior high game 32-12.
