CA’s softball season ends at regionals

Carroll Academy’s fastpitch softball season came to an end at the North 2A Regional Tournament, which was held recently at Canton Academy.

Carroll (3-20) lost 9-1 to Benton Academy and 10-4 to Newton Academy in its two games.

Lady Tigers advance; Lady Jags fall in playoffs

Winona High School’s girls volleyball team had its season come to an end Tuesday night as the Lady Tigers dropped a 3-0 decision to Kossuth High School in the second round of the MHSAA Class 3A playoffs.

Kossuth won the sets 25-12, 25-15 and 25-15. Winona closes with a 16-10 record.
