Making sure our kids receive the best education available is important. Being a parent and a grandparent, I’m fully aware that our children are our future. The young people learning, growing and thriving in our schools today will be our next generation of community leaders, businessmen, businesswomen, farmers, lawyers, doctors, and elected officials.
Back-to-school season always brings up so much excitement with the beginning of the new school year and all the potential that comes with it.
It must be noted that in Carroll County over many years the Carroll County Development Association education committee, headed by educator Mary Fluker, has done a tremendous effort in working with our schools. Here in Carroll County, in the town of North Carrollton, as we begin the school year I’m proud of the work we've been doing to support our schools. The JZG Jaguar mural at the intersection of George and Main Street on the main route to J.Z. George High School, along with the Jaguar banners, is a great addition as we begin the new school year. I look forward to our great working relationship with the schools. It’s very important for municipal governments to work with their schools and be active supporters.
While students and parents have been preparing at home, teachers have been hard at work setting up their classrooms and formulating their lesson plans to engage and inspire their students.
I know there are so many organizations and citizens that are dedicated to improving the educational opportunities for all students and ensuring a bright future for every child. Wishing for the best for the 2025-26 school year, the best view of the future is from the classroom.
