On Saturday, May 11, a benefit will be held in support of Angelo Miglorie on the Kilmichael Square. The benefit will be an all-day event with activities planned throughout the day to help raise funding for Miglorie’s treatment. Angelo Miglorie is a Kilmichael resident who is currently fighting stage four lung cancer. The benefit, organized in part by Raney Chandler, seeks to help raise funding for Miglorie to assist in the payments for his treatment and medical expenses.
Chandler stated that Miglorie is “a very family oriented man and he loves LSU.”
An Early Bird Yard Sale will take place prior to the benefit, beginning at 6 a.m. and ending at 9 a.m. The benefit will begin at 10 a.m., and will have a ticket raffle, food vending, kids’ activities, a silent auction, and live music. The raffle will include firearms (for individuals 21 or older with proof of I.D.) and a cast iron fire pit. Food vending will include fish plates, spaghetti, hamburgers, hot dogs, ribs, and barbecue. Kids activities will include carnival games, inflatables, carnival foods, and more. The silent auction will begin at 10 a.m. and the winners of both the silent auction and the raffle will be named at the end of the benefit. You are encouraged to bring lawn chairs as seating at the venue is limited.
