Area organizations and towns will honor our fallen veterans with programs on Friday and Monday.
On Friday, Carroll Academy will hold a Veterans Day Ceremony at the school's gym at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, November 8 for the county. Senator Lydia Chassaniol will be the guest speaker. Local veterans will provide the color guard.

Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat
CARROLLTON – Law enforcement officers with the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) carried out a search and seizure warrant on a business on the Carrollton Square Tuesday.
Rumors about a supposed “gang” fight that took place at J.Z. George High School have some in the community scared. However, Superintendent Billy Joe Ferguson said it didn’t happen exactly the way it’s being told.
Ferguson said the truth is much different than what people are saying.
