WINONA – The Board of Aldermen awarded the bid for the city’s $1.2 million bond bill to Trustmark Bank.  Trustmark submitted the lowest net interest rate of the three bids at 2.695269 percent.

2019 J.Z. George Homecoming Court

J.Z. George High School will hold its Homecoming on Friday, Sept. 27. My children -- ages 29, 22 and 15 -- laugh at me when I tell them that when I was growing up there were no Mexican restaurants, no Japanese restaurants, no Indian cuisine, no Thai food places, and the only Chinese food I knew of was fried rice made in the back room of a local Chinese corner store.
