Thursday night in the J.Z. George High School, the Carroll County School District did just that for Superintendent Billy Joe Ferguson – they gave him his flowers.
As the 2019 comes to a close, there are changes coming in several of our county offices, and newly-elected officials will be joining those elected for another term for the official swearing-in of elected officials next week.
Twelve students at Winona High School will have the chance to sing with the Delta State Honor Choir.
Choir Director Megan Brock said she asked her students if anyone would be willing to learn the music, and she had some willing participants.
“They have to sing two excerpts and learn how to read sight music,” she said.
